Position Overview
Franciscan Health Dyer is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg Telemetry unit. This is a night shift position offering consistent hours in a fast-paced, team-centered environment.
Key Details
Type: Contract | Replacement Role
Shift: Nights (1900–0730) | Every other weekend required
Unit Size: 30 beds
Patient Ratio: 5–6:1
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Call Requirement: None
Floating: In-turn within the same level of care
Qualifications
Experience: 1–2 years recent Med Surg Telemetry
Certifications:
BLS (required)
NIH Stroke Certification (required)
Preferred Skills:
CAPD (Peritoneal Dialysis)
Epic charting experience
Technology & Equipment
Systems & Tools:
Epic EMR
Alaris IV pumps
Pyxis, Vocera, Rovers
Feeding pumps, PCA pumps, Phillips telemetry
Occasional use of chest tubes
Patient Population
Includes both observation and inpatient cases. Common diagnoses:
Chest pain, stroke, CHF, COPD, CKD, sepsis, cellulitis, sickle cell crisis, alcohol withdrawal (CIWA <9), and failure to thrive.
