Your role at St John of God Richmond Hospital We are seeking applications for Registered Nurses to join our nursing team at Richmond on a casual basis. Our specialised inpatient units focus on post-traumatic stress disorders, anxiety and depression, drug and alcohol addictions, and adult mental health. You will be responsible for providing nursing care in keeping with the Registered Nurse classification, and assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the day-to-day mental health and basic physical care requirements of patients. The Position Ensure patients receive the highest level of care and treatment in line with contemporary clinical nursing practice. Ensure confidentiality for patients and that their personal information is always maintained. Ensure hospital policies, procedures and standards are adhered to and demonstrated through work practices. Ensure all patients receive orientation to the Unit by establishing process that embraces the Mission, Vision and Values of the St John of God Health Services. Ensure patients’ rights are respected and that the patient is involved in all facets of their treatment. Maintain effective Quality Activity Programs measuring the care provided to our patients. Contribute to the development of new and current programs and practices in line with the changing needs of our patients. The ideal candidate will have 12 months experience working in mental health or drug & alcohol nursing, strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities, and clear, concise written and verbal communication skills. Successful applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, have a valid national police check and working with children check.
