The applicant must be professional, efficient, hard working and have the ability to create a good rapport with GP’s, staff and patients. We are looking for someone with passion and that will be committed to the role. The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Bachelor, Diploma or Master of Nursing
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and work as a team
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Enthusiastic and energetic personality
• Ability to follow instructions and meet set standards
• Dependable and reliable in character and possess a strong work ethic
• Experience with specific social groups serviced by practice, such as adolescents, aged care, migrant or refuge groups etc.
• Have the ability to follow procedure but be confident in decision making skills
• Experience working in a general practice is highly preferable, but not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.

ABOUT THE ROLE…

We are currently looking for friendly, professional and organised Practice Nurse to join our team at Myhealth. You will be working in an excellent environment with friendly staff and patients. The Practice Nurse will be responsible for providing community patient care through health promotion, education, maintenance and prevention.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintain and implement Triage Policies and Procedures
• Clinical patient care, e.g. wound care, immunisations and other relevant procedures
• Patient health education and diagnostic services
• Health screens and assessments, acute and chronic disease management, managing health check reminders
• Clinical data and records management
• Coordinating with GP’s and Allied Health Specialists to manage patient care plans
• Managing and complying with infection control
• Understanding and adhering to health and safety regulations
• Maintaining medical supplies and effectively coordinating and managing the treatment room
• Vaccinations - Covid-19
