Roles & Responsibilities

Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit western trained Registered Nurses Mental Health for their client in Abu Dhabi, UAE which is a reputed JCI accredited multispecialty hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and behavioral health services. We are looking for Registered Nurses holding a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (minimum three-year full-time program) from a nationally or internationally recognized nursing college or university, or a Degree in Nursing (minimum two-year program) together with registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, or New Zealand, in accordance with the DHA Professional Qualification Requirements. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent full-time experience working within a psychiatric hospital, behavioral health facility, or mental health unit of an acute care hospital. Current BLS certification is mandatory and experience in crisis intervention, psychiatric observation, and behavioral health nursing will be highly preferred. The Registered Nurse Mental Health will be responsible for delivering compassionate, recovery-oriented nursing care to patients with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders, behavioral health conditions, and emotional crises. Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, monitor patients for changes in mental status, administer and monitor psychotropic medications, observe therapeutic response, and recognize potential side effects or adverse reactions. Provide therapeutic communication, participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation of aggressive or distressed patients, support suicide and self-harm risk management, and maintain a safe therapeutic environment that promotes dignity, recovery, and patient wellbeing. Work collaboratively with Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans and support rehabilitation goals. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensure compliance with patient safety standards, infection prevention policies, ethical nursing practice, and JCI accreditation requirements while contributing to quality improvement initiatives and the delivery of evidence-based mental healthcare.

Desired Candidate Profile

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of recent full-time experience working within a psychiatric hospital, behavioral health facility, or mental health unit of an acute care hospital.
