This is an exciting NICU training opportunity at Royal Columbian Hospital (RCH), located in New Westminster, BC. Fraser Health offers specialty nursing education sponsorship to new applicants, including new graduates nurses, or currently registered Nurses as part of our ongoing shared responsibility for professional development and safe, competent, ethical care. Sponsorship for the Specialty Nursing education includes:
The Neonatal program is 23 weeks long and consists of 12 weeks of online studies and 11 weeks of full time studies, which include classroom days and clinical placements. This programs is offered in 3 intakes a year (Spring, Fall and Winter) through BCIT.
Candidates accepting this training opportunity agree to remain with Fraser Health in NICU for at least 18 months subsequent to completing training. Skills and Abilities
Responsibilities:
Qualifications: Education and Experience
Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Completion of the applicable post graduate specialty nursing course/program and/or willingness to complete the applicable post graduate specialty nursing courses/program.
Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
