Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital Join Our Team as Night Shift Registered Nurse on our 30-bed general acute medical ward. Slaney Ward offers both private and shared accommodation. The ward caters to a broad range of medical specialties, including cardiology, respiratory, renal, haematology, oncology, geriatrics, gastrointestinal, and infectious diseases. Our multidisciplinary team is composed of highly skilled physicians, a dedicated medical team, allied health professionals, the continuum of care team, experienced nurses, and committed support staff. Together, we promote a collaborative approach to deliver holistic, patient-centred care. As Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and cost-effective manner. The role is offered on a permanent part-time basis, working 35 hours per week, rostered over 7 days of the week. Night shifts start at 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM daily. The Position: Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Adheres to and support hospital policies, procedures and standards. Acts as the patient’s advocate and protects the rights of individuals. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Works within the scope of nursing practice –decision making framework. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and within the hospital. Maintains and develops clinical skills to manage patient health problems. Responds appropriately to customer feedback and complaints, seeking assistance to resolve issues as required You will hold current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. To succeed you will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team and have a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. We can offer you Salary: $79,755 to $102,048 per annum (pro-rata), plus 12% superannuation Permanent part-time position, working 35 hours a week.
