JOB SUMMARY

Connaught House Specialist Care Centre is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered night Nurse to join our team. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of care and for the supervision of others who are carrying out all aspects of the caring process. He/she will assist in setting and maintaining standards of care and will participate in maintaining effective management of the team and Home and working alongside Care Assistant.
To act as person in charge, to stand in for the Manager as required and observe all instructions to act upon his/her behalf, ensuring high standards of care to residents in line with company policy & Registration.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Ø Minimum 1st Level Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Ø Assists with the assessment of nursing care needs
Ø Plans, delivers and evaluates individual care/treatment plans in consultation with resident’s, their relatives and the Care Team
Ø Conducts risk assessments with due regards to residents, visitors and staff
Ø Supervises care staff in the delivery of high standards of care/treatment to achieve planned goals
Ø Participates in care staff supervisions and reviews and assists with the induction and orientation of new care staff
Ø Act always in line with NMC Code of Professional Conduct & maintain registration requirements.
Ø Maintains the safe custody, administration, dispensing and storage of medication according to the NMC administration of medication
Ø Participates in clinical / quality / continuous improvement processes
Ø Ensures professional integrity and accountability, working at all times within the Nursing and Midwifery Councils ‘Code of Professional Conduct’ and any other service-specific Codes of practice, E.g. Mental Health Act
