Job Overview We are looking for a Registered Nurse to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. You will also be responsible for educating them on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. This individual must be compassionate, and able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. Addiction experience is preferred. The goal is to promote a patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care. This position will report directly to NorthStar Care’s VP of Clinical Operations. Primary job duties and responsibilities: Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and best clinical outcomes Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms, identify acute changes, and effectively communicate changes and or progress with physician team Collaborate goals of care with interdisciplinary team to devise individualized care plans for patients and families Provide patient education on performing routine care procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and meet NorthStar Care timely patient EMR (ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS) documentation standards. Educate patients on various medications, side effects, and administration techniques. The nurse must be able to have effective communication skills and serve as liaison between patient and medical team. Effectively provide treatment adjustments according to physician’s orders. Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc. Performing other duties as assigned by the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) and VP of Clinical Operations. Job Requirements and Skills: EDUCATION – Bachelor’s degree preferred, Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred EXPERIENCE – Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures PRODUCTIVITY TOOLS - Solid knowledge of key productivity tools like Microsoft O365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.), or equivalent VIDEO CONFERENCING – Familiarity with administering, optimizing, and/or licensing video conference tools like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, GoToMeeting, Webex, or equivalent MESSAGING PLATFORMS – Familiarity with administering, optimizing, and/or licensing message platforms like Microsoft Teams, Webex Teams, Slack, or equivalent ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS (EMR) – Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation requirements to assist clinicians, nurses, navigators, and peer guides with workflow and documentation best practices VALID NURSING LICENSE – Active and in good standing Nursing License is required.
