As a valued member of our interdisciplinary team, you will bring professional nursing knowledge and clinical expertise to care for neonates and their families. Nurses in our Level II Neonatal Special Care Unit (NSCU) practice in alignment with the ANA Code of Ethics and the UnityPoint Health Philosophy of Nursing, collaborating closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other caregivers within the Professional Nurse Practice Model. Our Moline campus features private and double-occupancy rooms for neonates requiring specialized care, while Bettendorf offers both private rooms and open bay layouts. We care for infants from 30 weeks gestation, following AWHONN guidelines, with highly trained staff providing consistent care across both campuses. Responsibilities Provide specialized nursing care to newborns including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and supporting infants with complex medical needs such as prematurity, respiratory distress, or congenital conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including neonatologists, pediatricians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for infants and provide emotional support and education to families. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards in neonatal care, maintaining meticulous documentation, and staying current with best practices in neonatal nursing including advanced life support and infant resuscitation techniques. Qualifications Education: Diploma from an RN program. License(s)/Certification(s): Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state. Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
