Follow the link for details: Hospital Services – St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital [https://www.stegh.on.ca/hospital-services/] WHAT YOU MUST HAVE: * Registered Nurse, currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario * Graduate of a BSc in Nursing or education and experience that allows the RN to practice at full scope * Current BLS Certification * Proven assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation skills related to acute medical nursing with the ability to work independently, utilizing critical thinking skillset * Basic computer skills (Outlook email, Cerner, Electronic Patient Record) * Capability to administer medication inclusive of IV medication administration, with a physician’s order * Ability to assess, adapt and respond within a constantly changing environment * Demonstrated commitment to ongoing/continuous professional development * Excellent attendance record in alignment with STEGH’s attendance policy * Acceptable performance record in alignment with STEGH’s mission, vision, values and code of conduct  WHAT WE PREFER YOU HAVE: * One (1) year of Acute Medical/ Surgical/ Continuing Care experience within the last three (3) years  * Continuing education in heart and stroke and/or geriatric nursing  * Certificates in: Palliative Care Fundamentals (Level 1), Gentle Persuasive Approaches, P.I.E.C.E.S, Crisis Intervention  HOURS: The successful candidate must be available to work all tours applicable to the department in accordance with the availability and non-availability requirements outlined in the ONA Collective Agreement.
