Augury Healthcare is hiring experienced Obstetrics Registered Nurses (RNs) for travel nursing assignments across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Position Details


Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Obstetrics (OBS)

Location: Newfoundland and Labrador

Specialty: Obstetrics, Labour & Delivery, Maternal-Newborn Care, Perinatal Nursing

Employment Type: Travel Contract Assignment

Contract Length: Full assignment commitment required, with potential extension opportunities

Start Date: Immediate and ongoing opportunities available

Shift Types: Days, evenings, nights, weekends (based on facility requirements)


Compensation Options:


Option 1:

$77.00/hour plus $150.00 daily stipend


Option 2:

$88.00/hour plus $75.00 per worked day


Additional Support:


- Shared accommodation provided

- Flight reimbursement up to $1,500 roundtrip

- Economy Flex fare eligible for reimbursement

- Travel support throughout your assignment


Accommodation Note: Solo or private accommodation is not available for these assignments.

Position Overview


As an Obstetrics Registered Nurse with Augury Healthcare, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients throughout labour, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.


You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe patient outcomes while adapting to new clinical environments and workflows.


Key Responsibilities


Responsibilities may include:


- Providing safe, competent, and compassionate nursing care in Obstetrics and Labour and Delivery settings

- Monitoring maternal and fetal health

- Performing maternal, fetal, newborn, and postpartum assessments

- Supporting patients and families throughout labour, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care

- Administering medications and treatments according to clinical standards

- Responding effectively to urgent and changing clinical situations

- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

- Supporting patient education and safe transitions of care

- Maintaining accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation

- Following facility policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards


Qualifications


Successful candidates must have:


- Active Registered Nurse license in Newfoundland and Labrador

- Minimum 2 years of Canadian Obstetrics or Labour and Delivery experience
