ON-CALL REGISTERED NURSE (RN) Schedule: Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday | 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. Every Patient. Every Family. Every Time. At Mountain Valley, what we do is personal. We are seeking a compassionate and confident Registered Nurse to join our on-call team, providing evening and overnight support to patients and families in the Elkin and Wilkesboro service area. This position is ideal for an experienced RN who enjoys focused, independent work while remaining supported by a collaborative and responsive clinical team. WHAT YOU’LL DO * Provide on-call nursing care during evenings and overnight hours * Respond to patient needs with skilled assessment, sound clinical judgment, and compassionate care * Offer guidance and reassurance to patients, families, and caregivers * Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care * Document care accurately and communicate clearly with team members SCHEDULE DETAILS * On-call shifts: * Wednesday: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. * Saturday & Sunday: 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. * Predictable, consistent on-call schedule WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR * Current RN license (state-specific requirements apply) * Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills * Ability to work independently while staying connected to a supportive team * Calm, confident presence during urgent or after-hours situations * Hospice or home health experience preferred, but not required WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS On-call nurses play a vital role in ensuring comfort, safety, and peace of mind after hours.
