Your role at St John of God Murdoch Hospital As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for a high standard of patient care to our oncology patients on our Thomas Furlong Ward. Thomas Furlong is an oncology/haematology and palliative care ward that cares for patients at all stages from diagnosis, to complex treatment and acute admissions as well as end of life. You will join a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing compassion care and expertise. Maintain and develop clinical skills in order to care for patients appropriate to level of competence. Deliver a high standard of patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost effectively. Adhere to and support hospital policies, procedures and standards. Act as the patient’s advocate and facilitate the rights of individuals. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care through the continuum of care. Prioritise workload using resources effectively. Provide supervision to Enrolled Nurses, students and PCAs as required. You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. To succeed you will have the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Registered Nurses with minimum 2 years clinical and chemotherapy administration is preferred with Antineoplastic Drug and Administration Course completed.
