THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our PACU and Anaesthetics team. This role will have you performing duties working within our Operating Theatres. This role will see you working as part of a collaborative and team orientated environment.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant registration with AHPRA as Registered Nurse
  • Minimum three (3) year in a hospital nursing role essential
  • Previous experience in the specialties of Anaesthetic & PACU is essential
  • Demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patient
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service and time management abilities
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment while maintaining positive working relationships with others.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
Responsibilities
  • Providing technical and clinical support to the Anaesthetist during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anaesthesia.
  • Responding to unexpected outcomes and uses problem solving skills to respond to emergencies in the Perioperative department.
  • Compliance with all legislative requirements in the workplace including occupational safety and health acts and workers’ compensation
