Your role at St John of God Midland Hospital St John of God Midland Hospital is currently seeking casual Registered Nurses to join our dynamic Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) and Recovery team. With 12 busy operating theatres, our fast-paced environment offers a rewarding opportunity for skilled nurses to make a real difference. The Position Maintain and develop clinical skills in order to care for patients appropriate to level of competence. Deliver a high standard of patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost effectively. Adhere to and support hospital policies, procedures and standards. Act as the patient’s advocate and facilitate the rights of individuals. Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate. Participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care through the continuum of care in recovery. Prioritise workload using resources effectively. Provide supervision to Enrolled Nurses, students and PCAs as required You must hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA). A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring patient satisfaction is essential, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills. To excel in this role, you will need the ability to work collaboratively and harmoniously within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. A minimum of two years’ experience in theatre or recovery within a hospital setting is required, and a postgraduate qualification will be highly regarded Above all, patient care will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and Values.
