The 2J Cardiovascular Unit is a 36-bed unit focused on post operation care for cardiac and vascular surgery patients. This includes progression pathway and support education to discharge. Position Summary: Working as a member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure high quality care. Responsible and accountable for decisions and actions in the provision and management of nursing care for cardiac patients. Practitioner, consultant and educator for cardiac patient groups and health team members. Responsible and accountable for the provision of nursing care in accordance with the standards of nursing practice and THP Best Practices Protocols. Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing care for cardiac patients, taking responsibility and accountability for all decisions and actions related to their care management. This role also involves functioning as a practitioner, consultant, and educator for cardiac patient groups and other health team members.
