Your future role at a glance Location: Tulsa, OK Facility: Ascension Medical Group Department/Specialty: Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm How you'll make an impact in this role Care Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for patients, streamlining communication between ENTs, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, speech pathologists, and social workers. Patient Education & Empowerment: Explain complex head and neck diagnoses, treatment plans (e.g., surgery, radiation), and potential side effects such as swallowing difficulties, mucositis, or voice changes. Symptom Monitoring: Assess and manage treatment-related toxicities, helping to prevent unnecessary emergency room visits or hospital readmissions. Barrier Assessment: Identify and mitigate socioeconomic, financial, or transportation barriers. Resource Facilitation: Connect patients with nutritional support (e.g., feeding tubes), support groups, financial assistance, and survivorship planning. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Licensed Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing required. BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. What additional requirements you'll need 3+ years of experience nursing in Oncology, Ear, Nose and Throat, or care coordination preferred Experience with patient navigation or case management preferred Oncology certification (OCN) or Nurse Navigator certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
