Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical care team. This role involves providing nursing care throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases. The RN will serve as a patient advocate and collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow team members to ensure optimal outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Deliver safe, individualized nursing care in Pre-op, PACU, and O.R. settings. Conduct thorough preoperative assessments and implement care plans. Monitor patients post-operatively for progress and complications. Educate patients and caregivers on discharge instructions and recovery. Participate in admitting and discharging patients in a timely, safe manner. Support infection control and safety protocols. Assist with inventory, stocking, and maintaining a clean peri-operative environment. Respond competently to emergency situations and alarms. Collaborate in QAPI initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Participate in staff meetings, training, and orientation of new personnel. Qualifications: Current RN licensure in the state of Kentucky BLS/ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience in surgical or ambulatory care settings preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and patient care assignments.
