Optimal Hospice is looking for a passionate and seasoned Registered Nurse to support in the Denver Metro area. The RN will support with visits and to help cover PTO. Core values: Commitment Advocacy Respect Excellence THE OPTIMAL HOSPICE REGISTERED NURSE: Hospice heart: compassionate, kind and empathetic to your patients and their families Nurse/Patient Relationship: Develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship through the health care continuum Provide direct patient care services to hospice patients Empower patient's caregivers by education them on care for their loved one Provide coordination of care, ensure continuous assessment of each patient's and family's needs Responsible for documentation and communication of care, medication, and observations made during care of the patient in order to track responsiveness and health of patient. Responsible for providing appropriate patient/family education to help patient/family achieve a pain-free and comfortable status. The Registered Hospice Nurse will provide compassionate care to patients and their family members at end of life. BENEFITS: Mileage reimbursement Supportive team SCHEDULE: PRN as needed support Flexibility Weekend support After hour weekday support PAY: $65-150 visit rate Qualifications About YOU: Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the state. Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing. Maintains a current CPR certification. Current valid driver’s license. At least one year of Hospice experience (preferred) Demonstrates excellent observation, problem solving, verbal and written communications, nursing skills per competency checklist. Shows ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.
Responsibilities
