Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse (RGN) with a passion for delivering exceptional elderly care? Our reputable care home in Penzance is seeking a compassionate and skilled RGN, RMN, or RNLD to join our dedicated clinical team on a full-time night shift basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leading role in providing high-quality healthcare within our nursing home, ensuring the well-being and dignity of our residents. You will work autonomously during night shifts and collaboratively with our Deputy Manager and care team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding, person-centred nursing care to our elderly residents.
• Conduct thorough medication rounds, ensuring the safe administration and management of medicines.
• Work without supervision during night shifts, using your initiative and clinical expertise to manage resident needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans.
• Supervise and support Healthcare Assistants and other members of the care team.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with NMC standards.
• Work in partnership with the Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care.

• Uphold all policies and procedures, including infection control and health and safety protocols.

  Essential Requirements:

• Valid NMC Pin as a Registered Nurse (RGN). (Applications from RMN or RNLD nurses will also be considered).

• A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience as a Staff Nurse or RGN.
• Proven nursing home experience within elderly care.
• Confident and competent in leading medication rounds.
• Ability to work without supervision and demonstrate strong clinical decision-making skills.

• A genuine passion for working in a care home environment and providing dignified elderly care.

  Desirable Skills:

• Experience as a Senior Staff Nurse, Clinical Lead, or Peripatetic Nurse.

• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor others.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
