Description
The Registered Nurse provides care and education for the patient based on their illness, symptoms, and courses of treatment. This position manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse assesses patient's needs and monitors all system complications of oncology patients along with the side effects caused by cancer treatment, radiation and chemotherapy. This position also assists the Radiation Oncologist and the Radiation Therapist in providing patient care and with treatments.
