An exceptional opportunity is now available for Registered Nurses to join the Recovery team at Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District in either a full-time or part-time capacity. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about delivering safe, effective, and patient-centered post anaesthetic care to patients, their families, and carers.
You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, using clear and effective communication to plan, implement, assess, and evaluate patient care. A key aspect of this role involves advocating for the unique needs of all patients, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and those from culturally diverse backgrounds, particularly during specialised procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Current registration as Registered Nurse – Division 1 with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in ‘acute care’ Nursing as a registered nurse (including completion of a new graduate RN program or equivalent experience working as a Registered Nurse).
  • Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.
  • Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide person centred care.
  • Demonstrated excellent effective communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development.
  • Ability to work a flexible 7-day rotating roster, with 6, 8 & 10 hour, day, evening, or night shift according to the unit/service requirements. On-Call roster participation also expected after attaining the required minimum skill level.
