Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) to join our dedicated team in a nursing home setting. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced nurses and newly qualified nurses (NQNs) looking to develop their career in elderly care.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care, administering medications, and leading shifts while working closely with the Deputy Manager to ensure the wellbeing of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Provide person-centered nursing care in line with NMC guidelines.
✔ Administer medication rounds safely and accurately.
✔ Take shift charge (leading the team during day shifts).
✔ Conduct care assessments, care planning, and risk assessments.
✔ Monitor residents’ health conditions and report changes promptly.
✔ Work autonomously while following care home policies.
✔ Supervise and support care assistants and junior staff.
✔ Maintain accurate patient records (digital & paper-based).
✔ Ensure infection control and safeguarding procedures are followed.
✔ Liaise with GPs, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Essential Requirements:

✅ Valid NMC Pin (RGN/RMN) – Newly Qualified Nurses (NQNs) welcome!
✅ Minimum 3 years’ experience in a nursing home or elderly care setting.
✅ Strong knowledge of medication administration and care planning.
✅ Ability to lead shifts and work independently.
✅ Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with dementia care, palliative care, or complex needs.
Familiarity with digital care systems.
