Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) seeking a rewarding role within a supportive care home environment? Our established nursing home in Lanark is looking for a compassionate and skilled RGN or RMN to join our dedicated clinical team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Staff Nurse to play a key role in delivering high-quality elderly care. We are looking for a confident professional who can work autonomously and as part of our team on a flexible shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outstanding, person-centred nursing care to our elderly residents, acting as a named nurse.
• Conduct thorough medication rounds, ensuring the safe administration and management of medicines in line with NMC standards.
• Work without supervision, using your initiative and clinical expertise to manage resident needs during shifts.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive individualised care plans.
• Supervise and support Healthcare Assistants and other members of the care team.
• Work in partnership with the Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead to ensure the highest standards of care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.

• Uphold all policies and procedures, including infection control and health and safety protocols.

  Essential Requirements:

• Valid NMC Pin as a Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

• A minimum of three years’ post-qualification experience as a Staff Nurse (RGN or RMN) within a nursing home or care home setting.
• Proven experience in elderly care.
• Confident and competent in leading medication rounds.
• Ability to work without supervision and demonstrate strong clinical decision-making skills.

• A genuine passion for working in a care home environment and providing dignified elderly care.

  Desirable Skills:

• Experience in mentoring or supporting junior staff.

• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to act as a clinical role model.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
