Location: UVMC Department: CARDIOPULMONARY REHABILITATION SHIFT: Dayshift 7a-4:30p HOURS PER PAY: PRN The Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation nurse practices professional nursing care in an autonomous manner supported by evidenced-based practice, professional standards of care, and code of ethics. Provides care for patients across the life span in a manner sensitive to social and cultural diversity. The Registered Nurse manages the nursing care in an interdisciplinary manner, in collaboration with the healthcare team in the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation unit, family, and significant other. Integrates the Collaborative Model of Care with a strong focus on patient-centered care into daily practice. Current Ohio State license as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred. Has practiced as a Registered Nurse in healthcare within the last 3 years. Professional Level CPR required. ACLS certified required within 6 months of hire. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English with strong interpersonal skills. Requires critical thinking and prioritization, and analytical skills necessary to assess, plan, implement. One or two years previous work-related experience in critical care or medical/telemetry unit required with education and/or experience in cardiac monitoring.
