Job Details The Float Pool at St. Joseph Hospital provides the opportunity for experienced nurses (RN) to work throughout our hospital in a variety of units. Our Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool RN will: Be responsible for floating between the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry departments Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and overall management of care for the Medical-Surgical/ Telemetry patient population Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, Registered Nurses (RNs), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction. Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support, and education. What you’ll bring: Passion for Medical-Surgical Nursing and caring for a diverse patient population Previous acute care nursing (RN) experience preferred Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration Certification: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Salary Range USD $55.22 - USD $63.68 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.

Responsibilities

The RN will float between the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry departments, assessing and managing care for patients. They will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and build relationships with patients and their families.
