Description This is a 0.8–0.9 FTE position working with our clinic team. The Clinic RN will participate in a rotation that includes one holiday shift per year. Start and end times vary, with hours ranging from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on holidays. Position Summary: This position is part of our clinic care team and includes direct patient care responsibilities. The role involves splitting time between our hematology/oncology team and our telephone triage team. Experience in infusion and hematology/oncology is strongly preferred. The Clinic RN will primarily be based at our St. Croix Falls location but may occasionally travel to support our community clinics as needed. Job Summary: The Clinic RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in a clinical setting. Key responsibilities include rooming patients, serving as a telephone triage nurse, and refilling medications in accordance with St. Croix Health protocols. This role also coordinates chronic disease care, triages walk-in patients, and assists providers with examinations as needed. The Clinic RN performs nursing procedures requiring RN licensure and delivers patient education within established organizational guidelines, ensuring patients and families understand care plans, treatments, and follow-up instructions. 1. Plans for delivery of optimum patient care, patient care coordination, assesses and delivers patient care based on department and facility standards. Perform various nursing procedures within the scope of licensure, including but not limited to IV starts, urinary catheterization, patient education Room patients Assist providers with procedures, chronic disease care management and care coordination Administer immunizations and complete appropriate documentation in EMR Assist LPN and CMA staff with advanced procedures as needed Ensure patient phone calls to the provider are accurately documented in the EMR, including supporting documentation detailing resolution Reviews and completes medication refills for primary clinic provider’s in a timely matter 2. Manage triage duties and responsibilities. Answer triage line; assist concerned patients via phone Follow triage protocols to determine appropriate next steps Act as walk-in patient triage nurse; perform RN duties and responsibilities as needed based on situation 3. Complies with department and facility standards. Understand Clinic Policies and Procedures Perform work according to organization policies and procedures 4. Other duties as assigned. Perform clerical work Maintain inventory of medical supplies or equipment Requirements Education & Licensure: Current RN license – WI & MN Experience with Infusion/Hematology/Oncology strongly preferred.
