REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – JOB DESCRIPTIONPOSITION SUMMARY

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with professional standards, physician orders, and organizational policies. The RN supports patients in maintaining, promoting, and restoring health, while also educating patients and families about health management, illness prevention, and treatment plans.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum [X] years of clinical experience (home health, hospital, or specialty area as required).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care abilities.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Patient-centered and compassionate care delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and nursing documentation systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, safety, and infection control practices.
  • Emotional resilience and ability to handle stressful or emergency situations.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
  • Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments.
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms, progress, or changes in patients’ conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely nursing documentation.
  • Provide wound care, catheter care, and other nursing procedures as required.
  • Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment plans, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards.
  • Supervise and mentor Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Nursing Assistants, and other support staff.
