Description
Performs patient assessment, determines priority of care and provides any immediate interventions, analyzes assessment data, formulates and implements plan of care and evaluates for effectiveness in collaboration with medical staff and in accordance with the policies and procedures of IHN. Education & Experience: You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferred *Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement: Hired on or before May 31, 2013 -- IMC Hired on or before August 4, 2015 – IMCW Hired on or before May 31, 2023 – IMCM One-year clinical experience required. Two (2) years ED experience preferred for per diem positions. Certification/Licensure: Current licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing. American Heart Association BLS required. American Heart Association ACLS required within 6 months of hire. American Heart Association PALS required within 6 months of hire. CPI initial for new hires to be completed within the introductory period, and renewal every 18 months. Cardiac dysrhythmia required within 6 months of hire. Critical Care Course within 1 year (or 2 years CC experience or current CEN). Completion of the Trauma Nurse Core Courses taught by the Emergency Nurses Association within 12 months of initial assignment or followed by a minimum of 8 contact hours of education every two (2) years in trauma assessment, intervention, and stabilization. National Certification in specialty area preferred.
