Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Status/FTE: TPD / 0.2 FTE Shift length: 12 hours Start Time: Varied Unit: Emergency Room Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Minimum of 12 shifts per 12 weeks or 3-month evaluation period. Including Two (2) weekend shifts (may be non-consecutive) per three (3) month evaluation period. Also, two (2) holidays per year to include one (1) winter and one (1) summer holiday. Required qualifications: Current state RN license Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire ACLS and PALS required within three (3) months of hire Current ED experience TNCC certification within one (1) year Preferred qualifications: BSN Two (2) to four (4) years of current ED experience Additional Information/Department information: The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patient from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the critical care setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, mentor, and positive role model for assistive personnel. Knowledgeable in all procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents related to critical care.
