Registered Nurse (RN) – PACU Main Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full Time – 40 Hours; Evenings; 11:00am – 9:30pm (10-hour shifts) four shifts per week; On call shift requirements- 2 on call weekend shifts per 6-week schedule is required. PACU highlights: · Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team · Fast-Paced, high-volume department · The professional nurse exhibits an understanding of basic human needs. · The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of the patient’s affiliations. Here’s What You Need · Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Diploma Nurse Program · BSN preferred · Two-years of experience as a registered nurse in PACU, ICU, Telemetry or Surgical inpatient preferred · RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req And · BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req And · ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req And · PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Upon Hire Pref And · ONS - Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certificate Upon Hire Pref What You Will Do · Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process · Assesses the patient · Plans the care of the patient · Intervenes as appropriate · Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions · Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care. · Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant other’s need for information · Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
