The Staff Pad is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU in Las Vegas, New Mexico. Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our critical care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role requires strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: · Deliver direct patient care to critically ill or injured patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing life-support equipment. · Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. · Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions. · Operate and troubleshoot advanced medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors. · Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. · Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions. · Adhere to infection control policies, safety protocols, and ethical nursing practices. · Participate in code responses, emergency interventions, and interdisciplinary rounds. Qualifications: · Current and valid RN license in New Mexico · Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred) · Minimum of 1 year experience in critical care or ICU nursing · BLS and ACLS certifications (required) · CCRN certification (preferred or willingness to obtain) · Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills Preferred Traits: · Calm under pressure and skilled in high-stakes situations · Team-oriented with a strong patient-first mindset · Passionate about continued learning and evidence-based practice
