Department/Unit Summary Join our team in the Cath Lab where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of RN’s. You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. How you’ll contribute You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. Essential Functions * Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. * Documents patient care provided. * Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. * Prepares, positions, and transports patients for procedures. * Prepares surgical and endoscopy suites with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies. Validates proper reprocessing of scopes for every procedure. * Assesses and cares for patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre-procedure and post-procedure care. * Operates specialized equipment and maintains a safe environment. * Accounts for use of supplies during surgical/endoscopy procedures. * Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. * Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances throughout the perioperative process. * Assists patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. * Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. * Participates in performance improvement and continuing education. * Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed. * Maintains regular and reliable attendance. * Performs other duties as assigned. Additional requirements include: * Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire * ACLS and PALS preferred * One year of experience preferred Additional Information Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
