More about our team Last year, Centerpoint - Winchester broke ground on an expansion for the intensive care unit (ICU). The expansion signifies a 75% increase in capacity for the ICU, adding six beds to the eight that are currently available. The new construction also includes the expansion of an ACU unit and build-out space for a new surgical suite, enabling Winchester to expand surgery as the needs of the community demand. How you’ll contribute An ICU RN who excels in this role: * Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. * Documents patient care given. * Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. * Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. * Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. * Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. * Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Responsibilities

The ICU Registered Nurse performs clinical interventions, administers medication, and monitors patient conditions while documenting care. They also assist patients with daily living activities and collaborate with the care team to coordinate discharge and support needs.
