Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN: Responsibilities This position is responsible for planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care, developing nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary and communicating changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate. Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing 1-2 years’ of experience in an acute care hospital setting required Registered Nurse (RN) with New Jersey Board of Nursing or RN Multistate License from the NCL. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
Responsibilities
This position is responsible for planning and delivering both direct and indirect patient care, which includes developing a nursing care plan in coordination with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff as needed. The nurse must also communicate any changes in the patient’s clinical condition to Physicians, the Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers appropriately.
