Schedule: Per Diem Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am Location: AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach – 401 Palmetto St., New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168 The role you’ll contribute: Responsible for promoting and restoring patients' health by completing the nursing process. This position collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care. Additionally, this role offers physical and psychological support to patients and families. This position may supervise assigned team members to ensure quality care. Responsibilities for this role include providing care consistent with the policies, procedures, and standards of the facility and relevant state nursing practice regulations. The value you’ll bring to the team: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary. Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions. Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance. Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork. The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: Graduate of school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree or diploma Active Florida RN license required or active multi-state RN license Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum of six (6) months Nursing experience Preferred qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing One (1) year of Nursing experience
