POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supervisor is an RN who is responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care in the facility during their shift. Responsible and accountable for the provision of direct, age specific, resident care to those assigned to his/her care for each established shift. The RN provides resident care according to the nursing processes of the facility and is responsible for the coordination of the team approach to meet each resident’s individual needs. The RN provides clinical leadership for the other nursing staff as assigned and performs related duties as required. The RN supervises the LVN’s, C.N.A.’s, and other ancillary nursing personnel involved in the delivery of resident care.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
EXPERIENCE:
a. Requires at least six months prior RN experience in the past two years in a general acute care hospital setting, or acquired equivalent competency appropriate to the type of sub- acute residents that the facility provides care to.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
a. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
a. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
b. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, and volume.
c. Ability to perform upper level mathematical operations.
