NEURO ICU FULL TIME / 7p-7a / 72 HOURS PER PAY Miami Valley Hospital The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others. Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing; BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire. Proof of enrollment required within 6 months of hire. ** RNs with min. 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU which must be obtained with 3 years of hire. Licensure/Certification/Registration:  Valid Ohio RN license  Current AHA BLS certification required at the time of hire. Experience: Previous hospital based RN experience is preferred. Knowledge/Skills: o Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor o Basic computer knowledge o Strong organization skills o Effective interpersonal and communication skills
