Inova Saville Cancer Screening and Prevention Center is currently seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to support our patients Monday – Friday, with no call or weekend requirements. The areas of service that OR RNs will be working on are GE, Urology, and in the future melanoma services. Work Schedule: Full time, Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am -4:30 pm (no holidays/weekends/overnights) Sign on Bonus & Relocation assistance is available to those who qualify. Inova Saville Cancer Screening and Prevention is a new state of the art Center with 4 Procedural Suites and 12 Pre-op/PACU Beds. Screenings completed at the center include EGDs, Colonoscopies, Bronchoscopies, Thoracentesis, Robotic EBUS, Cytoscopies, MRI Fusion Biopsies of the Prostate, Space OAR, and Fiducial Marker placement. OR Registered Nurse Responsibilities: Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships. Formulates individualized plans of care based upon assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice. Supports and empowers patients and families as they progress through the healthcare continuum from health promotion to end of life decisions. Advocates for patients' rights from the patient/family perspective and provides counsel and acts as a resource to resolve issues. Anticipates ethical, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients/families and assists staff in assessing patients' learning needs. OR Registered Nurse Requirements: Experience: Requires a minimum of 1 year of direct Operating Room (OR) experience as a Registered Nurse Education: BSN or ADN from an accredited school of nursing.
