Position will start January 12, 2026, with orientation taking place at Roper Hospital (downtown Charleston). Shift Hours: 8:00a- 4:30p No Weekends, No Holidays, No Call. Primary Function/General Purpose of Position - Assists physician in performance of all cardiovascular procedures, demonstrating competency in all positions (scrub, monitor and float). Analyzes and interprets collected procedural data, provides effective patient care at all acuity levels. Assists in precepting new employees and students to department’s organization and function. Maintains inventory and charges appropriately for procedures, performs all procedures per protocol, participates in quality assurance and performance improvement programs as requests. Equitable participation in call coverage required. Essential Job Functions Age Appropriate Competency: The employee is able to demonstrate general competency in providing Age Appropriate Care as indicated by the ability to plan, provide and evaluate care based on the physiological, psychosocial, intellectual and safety developmental needs of the patient. Utilizes appropriate processes and documents in accordance with TJC and other regulatory standards for each patient admitted, transferred or discharged for the invasive procedural area.. Demonstrates ability to provide comprehensive care to patients. Demonstrates the ability to function in all roles (scrub, monitor, and circulate). Function as a qualified team member (QTM) in the administration of moderate sedation under the direct supervision of the physician where applicable. Provides care in compliance with establish policies, procedures and standards of care. This may include administration of medications, contrast, starting IV's. IV fluids under the direction of the physician or nurse as prescribed or indicated by the patient's condition and or physician orders. Enters patient data in the angiographic archival system and operates/ monitors digital x-ray acquiring system. Operates equipment in accordance to industry standards and patient safety Accurately records and charges in the electronic medical record.
