UC Health is hiring a full time Registered Nurse (RN) for the ortho trauma department for the Night Shift, 7 PM-7:30 AM at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.    This 28-bed unit works with the patient population admitted from the ER, PACU, and SICU. Nursing care is concentrated around recovering from traumatic injury with focus on mobility, patient education, monitoring intake and outputs and pain management.  This unit will also be working with ortho patients recovering from total knee, hip, and shoulder replacements as well as spinal surgery cases. UCMC is the area’s only Adult Level 1 Trauma Center in the region. Our patients arrive from injuries sustained by motor vehicle crashes, gunshot wounds and unforeseen accidents. Responsibilities
Provide nursing care for patients recovering from traumatic injuries and orthopedic surgeries, including total joint replacements and spinal cases. Focus on mobility, pain management, and monitoring patient vitals within a Level 1 Trauma Center.
