JOB SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse shall have the personality, ability, and temperament necessary to interact with supported persons with diverse-abilities in a manner that respects and maintains the individuals’ spirit, dignity, and individuality. This role is responsible for providing care and support within the scope of their nursing practice and assisting in the daily operation and leadership of the community inclusion service to promote independence, learning, and self-expression according to the abilities and choices of supported persons.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:



    • Current registration with the BCCNM or EMALB as an RN

    • Previous experience in a healthcare setting or recent graduation from a nursing program with a multidisciplinary approach.
    • Experience working with youth with significant substance use/ addiction & mental health challenges.
    • Experience in Individualized Program Plans (IPP), Person-Specific Planning (PSP), and Health Care Planning (HCP).
    • Current CPR “C” certification.
    • Valid Class 5 driver’s license; Class 4 driver’s license preferred.
    • Strong team collaboration skills.
    • Effective communication with staff, professionals, and families.
    • Ability to make clinical judgments based on current nursing standards.
    • Conscientious therapeutic practice.
    • Ability to self-evaluate performance critically.
    • Any qualifications or skills required by the Licensing officer.
