Park Plaza Surgical Specialists (PPSS) is a dedicated outpatient interventional pain surgery center operating under River Cities Interventional Pain Specialists in Shreveport, LA. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide direct patient care while ensuring compliance with all clinical and regulatory standards. Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and problem solver who can quickly recognize patient needs, prioritize treatment, and collaborate effectively with physicians and clinical staff. Compensation: $32-38 per hour Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm Location: Shreveport, LA 71120 Duties & Responsibilities: Review patient medical information, including name, allergies, procedures, prescriptions, medical history, and medications. Prepare and maintain procedure lists. Obtain and record vital signs (weight, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature). Educate patients on medications, procedures, risks/benefits, office policies, and post-operative instructions. Complete nursing sections of medical charts. Set up procedure rooms with supplies (gloves, trays, and medications) according to physician orders. Prepare patients for procedures, including IV starts, changing, positioning, draping, and escorting to procedure rooms. Assist physicians during procedures. Communicate with patients and address medical questions and concerns. Resolve patient complaints in a professional manner. Break down exam/procedure rooms (change linens, dispose of medical waste, sterilize for next patient/procedure). Escort patients to recovery rooms, monitor recovery, and complete recovery charting. Review discharge instructions and medications with patients; complete discharge charting. Order medical supplies and medications used in procedures. Conduct follow-up phone calls one day after procedures: document status in the medical chart. Provide leadership by working collaboratively with nursing staff and other patient care personnel. Requirements: Compliance with state and federal laws. Current, unencumbered Louisiana nursing license. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience BLS certification (required) Prior HER experience (preferred) ACLS certification (preferred) Ability to transport patients via stretcher, position patients on procedure tables, and provide lifting assistance: Up to 50 lbs occasionally. Up to 25 lbs frequently.
