The Level 1 Trauma Pediatric Emergency Department at Inova Children's Hospital is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN to support our Pediatric Behavioral Health patients. PRN, 12-Hour Shifts (Days Vary). During orientation will rotate through all shifts (Days, Mids, and Nights). Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities: Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team. Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner. Use an integrated approach toward patient outcomes Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery. Minimum Qualifications: Experience: Requires a minimum of one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting. Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. License: Must be RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN. Certification: BLS from American Heart Association Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others Proficient computer skills required.
