Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU. Responsibilities The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination. This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services. The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager. Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC). Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing or an RN Multistate License from the NCL is required. 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience. Completed basic AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire. Preferred Job Requirements: OB nursing certification preferred. Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
