Our team supports recovery, education, and family-centered care while collaborating closely with Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and interdisciplinary partners. Nurses in this department play a key role in postpartum assessments, newborn care, patient education, and ensuring a safe transition home for more than 800 families annually.   How you’ll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: * Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that prioritizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical errors * Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs * Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions * Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient * Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, provider, patient, and family * Formulates individualized plans of care and revises them based on patient response * Completes and updates the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient * Evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, and condition * Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support * Advocates for the physical and emotional well‑being of patients while protecting patient rights * Demonstrates strong critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment   Why join us We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will perform comprehensive postpartum assessments, provide newborn care, and educate families to ensure a safe transition home. They will also collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including discharge planning and psychosocial support.
