Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN: Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. She or he provides direct care to these patients via the nursing process, the environmental/instrumentation and management of other health care team members. Qualifications Job Requirements: A graduate of an accredited nursing school Must possess a current Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care At least one year of experience as an RN Preferred Job Requirements: Previous experience in Med Surg ACLS certification
