QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience
  • Available to cover all shifts, including weekend coverage if necessary
  • Successful completion of all Orientation Programs

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Prior Radiology experience

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

  • FT

  • 37.5 hours weekly
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Completes all documentation such as history, education forms, and verbal orders in a timely, complete, and efficient manner
  • Ensures proper medical history and accurate patient demographics and medical information is collected
  • Maintains a neat, clean and stocked work area
  • Maintains positive communication channels, providing feedback to supervisor when appropriate
  • Maintains the standards of nursing care which are evidence-based and outcome-driven, and implements the policies and procedures of the ACC
  • Participates in Performance Improvement initiatives and completes assignments
  • Performs evaluation assessment and reassessment of patients according to applicable department standards in all assigned areas utilizing designated tools/systems
  • Provides psychosocial and physical needs for the patient during the prep and procedure
  • Staff adjust scheduling to the needs and demands of the department,
  • Flexibility and willingness to cover all shifts
  • Transmits pertinent patient information to appropriate individual
  • Utilizes the nursing process with a multidisciplinary approach in the delivery of patient care
  • Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service
  • Adheres to patient rights provides for the confidential treatment of all communications and records
  • Demonstrates professionalism with families, visitors, physicians, co-workers and supervisors
  • Listens and communicates effectively
  • Supports teamwork by cooperative problem-solving through participation in meetings, projects, etc.
  • Utilizes principles of continuous quality improvement in all work situations to assess, measure and improve organizational and department functions
  • Organizes work, sets priorities with a minimum of supervision and seeks guidance as appropriate
  • Makes decisions that are timely and consistent with department’s objectives, policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates sound judgment; accepts and benefits from constructive criticism
  • Participates in ongoing education as required
