About the Role As a Registered Nurse at Sunnyhill, Inc, you will play a critical role in ensuring the holistic health and safety of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Unlike high-volume hospital settings, this role allows you to build long-term relationships with residents and develop deeply personalized care plans. Flexible Schedule; Mileage Reimbursement; Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Vision; Retirement; Paid Time Off Key Responsibilities Clinical Oversight: Perform physical examinations and monitor the ongoing health status of individuals with complex medical needs. Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians, therapists, caregivers, and families to develop and implement Individualized Service Plans (ISP). Medication Management: Oversee medication administration records (MARs) and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Staff Training: Educate and delegate clinical tasks to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring they are trained in specific medical protocols (e.g., G-tube feeding, seizure management). Advocacy: Act as a medical advocate during specialist appointments to ensure the individual's needs and preferences are accurately communicated. Emergency Response: Provide triage and emergency nursing care as needed within the residential or day-program setting. Requirements Qualifications Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri. Education: Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred). Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience; experience with the IDD population or home health is highly desirable.
