Key Responsibilities * Cardiac Monitoring: Continuously observe, analyze, and interpret electrocardiogram (ECG) monitor screens and cardiac rhythms. * Patient Assessment: Assess, document, and report changes in patient conditions, including responding promptly to alarms and dysrhythmias. * Medication & Treatments: Safely administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and treatments to adult patients. * Condition Management: Provide expert care for patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, diabetes, stroke rule-outs, syncope, and those recovering from cardiac events. * Collaboration: Partner with physicians, monitor technicians, and other healthcare team members to escalate concerns and execute care plans. * Education & Discharge: Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, medications, lifestyle changes, and post-discharge care. Qualifications & Requirements * Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program (RN Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN). * License/Certification: Valid, unencumbered RN license to work in the State of Virginia. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA). * Experience: Minimum of 18 months of acute care RN experience is highly preferred. (New graduates with an arrhythmia certification will be considered and are welcome to apply). * Skills: Strong clinical judgment, keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in high-pressure environments.
